The first truly "GREEN" permanent hair color |

A brand
new way to color that will absolutely
revolutionize hair color as we know it. My history
with the
L`Oreal Professionnel Company began in 2002
when I was the first in Salem to "own rights" to
carry their Serie`/Keraste` hair care line. The
products are top shelf and L`Oreal keeps strict
guidelines on who may carry their product name.
Salon554 has partnered with L`Oreal
Professionnel again to bring in the first
ammonia-free permanent hair color with an oil
delivery system called INOA (Innovation, no
ammonia). what makes this so exciting is the fact
that we were hand picked to be one of 200 salon's
in the U.S. and even better one of 3 in Oregon to
preview and use this new technology.
INOA has
been a part of L`Oreal's research and development
for the last 10 years, and was finally announced
in Paris in June, 2009 at the L`Oreal 100 year
birthday celebration. L`Oreal invented modern
haircolor in 1909 by a man named Eugene Schueller.
The original and traditional hair dyes require
ammonia as a catalyst to open the cuticle of the
hair, then the colorants are delivered to the
cortex of the hair in a water based system. The
problem has always been that ammonia is very
damaging to the hair and since the cuticle is
blown open it's hard to close, which causes fadage.
A large part of the population has either
allergies or sensitivity to ammonia which has kept
people away from having their hair colored. With
INOA, the cuticle is slightly opened and the
colorants are delivered on an oil based delivery
system; the benefit to the client is no scalp
irritation, brighter color with less fadage, and
the hair gets healthier the more it's colored!!!
L`Oreal says that after 9 applications of INOA,
the integrity of the hair returns to a virgin
state. This is the first time in 100 years that
L`Oreal has brought this kind of innovation and
excitement to the hair industry.
L`Oreal will be hand-selecting their partner
Salons globally and each salon must fit the image
that this color line represents. It is an honor to
be at the preview stage of this technology, Salon
554 will be launching this color service the
second week of November.
